There are also some meticulous passengers who have discovered that leakage has also occurred at stations such as Yangjiawan and Jiekou.

On the 8th, the reporter saw in the waiting area inside the subway station Optical Valley Station that some places in the tunnel had drip as “curtains.” The water in the track pit had a depth of three to four centimeters. Affected by the leakage of water, more than 10 layers of paint on the top of the tunnel fell off, and some areas of the paint layer were loosened due to water soaking.

Regarding the occurrence of leakage in the optical valley station, the Wuhan Metro Group stated that they attached great importance and had arranged special personnel to visit the site. The reason for water leakage is that at the initial stage of the subway opening, the sewage from the station floor dragged a large amount of garbage, which caused the floor drain to be blocked and could not be drained properly. The leakage of the paint in the tunnel caused the leakage of paint. At present, they have arranged construction units to repair the floor drains and make additional sprays on the fallen paint.

As for the reasons for leakage at other sites, the MTRCL said it would respond to the investigation and rectify existing problems on the premise of ensuring passenger safety.
