January-August 2012, China's paint output growth trend

In view of the chaotic sales of paint, the poor quality of paint and paint products, and the prevalence of counterfeit and unfair market conditions, on August 1, 2011, the relevant national authorities implemented 14 national mandatory standards related to paint, thereby regulating the market. The paint industry will continue to grow. China Merchants Information Network released the "2013-2017 China Powder Coatings Industry Market Analysis and Investment Prospects Advisory Report" data show that: January-August 2012, the national paint production reached 7.645 million tons, an increase of 9.82%. In August, China produced 1.107 million tons of paint, a year-on-year increase of 10.61%.

From the perspective of the output of all provinces and cities, from January to August of 2012, the output of paints in Guangdong Province reached 1.498 million tons, an increase of 15.92% year-on-year, accounting for 19.60% of the country's total output. Followed by Shanghai, Jiangsu Province and Zhejiang Province, which accounted for 12.91%, 10.83% and 8.49% of the total output respectively.
