2. Maintenance of diesel engine fire pump

Proper maintenance of diesel engine fire pumps, especially preventive maintenance, is the easiest and most economical maintenance, so it is the key to extending service life and reducing operating costs. Daily maintenance You can check the fuel level of the fuel tank by following the steps below - observe the fuel storage capacity of the fuel tank and add as needed.

Check the oil level in the oil sump - observe if the oil level meets the marking on the oil scale. If it is insufficient, it should be added to the specified amount, but it should not exceed the upper limit of the scale.

Check the oil level of the fuel injection pump governor - if the specified engraved marking is not reached, add enough oil (some injector valves do not have a ruler on the governor).

Check if there is sufficient grease in the oil injection point of the pump. Remove the grease fitting on the circulating water pump of the diesel engine and observe whether the lubricating grease inside is sufficient. If it is insufficient, apply a grease gun to fill the inside with sufficient grease.

Check if there is enough water in the tank - find that the water in the tank should be replenished in time. The added water should be clean fresh water, such as tap water or clean river water. If groundwater is used directly, it is easy to form scale in the water tank, which will affect the cooling effect and cause malfunction. Therefore, the groundwater can be softened before use. Check the acidity in the battery - the liquid level of the electrolyte in the battery should be 10~15mm higher than the top surface of the plate. If it is abnormal, it should be adjusted by adding dilute sulfuric acid or distilled water with a specific gravity of 1.400g/cm3. The specific gravity is 1.280±0.005 (30 °C). Do not add river water, well water and concentrated sulfuric acid.

Check the installation of the various accessories of the diesel engine – including the stability of the installation of each accessory, the anchor bolts and the robustness of the connection to the working machine.

Check the fuel pump drive connection plate - check if the connection screw is loose. If it is loose, re-correct the injection advance angle and tighten the connection screw.

Clean the appearance of diesel engines and accessories - use a dry cloth or a diesel-soaked rag to remove grease, water and dust from the surface of the fuselage, turbocharger, cylinder head cover, air cleaner, etc. The air blows off the dust on the surface of the generator, radiator, fan, etc.

3. Preparation for starting the diesel engine fire pump

The diesel engine fire pump is much more complicated in structure than the electric water pump, so the preparation work before starting is also more complicated.

First, we should first check if the display of the voltmeter on the control cabinet is 24V. If it is lower than 24V, we should promptly find out the cause and eliminate the fault. Second, check whether the diesel engine parts are normal, whether the accessories are reliably connected, and eliminate the abnormal phenomenon. Third, check whether the oil in the oil pan, the fuel injection pump and the governor reaches the specified oil level. If the oil is found to be insufficient, the same type of oil should be added. Fourth, check if there is enough water in the water tank. If an open circulation cooling system is used, the water source should be turned on. Fifth, use the hand pump on the fuel pump to inject fuel into the fuel system, and at the same time loosen the bleed screw on the fuel pump to remove the air from the fuel system. When there is no more gas to be removed here, tighten the screw. Then continue to pump oil until the return line has oil return, and finally tighten the hand pump. Sixth, sequentially loosen the high-pressure oil pipe joint nut on each cylinder injector, place the governor handle in the diesel engine running position, turn the diesel engine, and discharge the air in each high-pressure fuel pipe (this step can be ignored in general, when starting Should not be ignored when it fails.) Seventh, for the new machine or unused diesel engine parked for more than 5 days, turn the crankshaft 3 to 5 revolutions before starting. Eighth, there is a preheating start device, and when preheating is required (temperature below 5 °C), it should also check whether the glow plug is normal (the rated voltage of 24V preheater under normal conditions is about 0.025Ω, 12V Smaller).

4. Inspection of diesel engine fire pump

In order to improve the ability of the diesel engine fire pump to respond to fire signals, it is recommended to inspect it once a week. Taking into account the water hammer effect and the characteristics of the diesel engine itself, we should start the diesel engine at low speed during the inspection, and then slowly accelerate to the speed required for fire protection - 1500r/min-3000r/min. When the water temperature and oil temperature reach 60 °C, it can be gradually decelerated, but it needs to run at idle speed (300~750r/min) for 2~3min before stopping, so as to avoid the supercharger bearing seizing due to overheating of the supercharger during sudden stop. !

After parking, be sure to adjust the speed to 1500r/min-3000r/min for fire protection.

Because the inspection process of diesel engine fire pump is more complicated, if there is no special request from customers, we will not consider automatic inspection in the design process. It is recommended that users use manual inspection mode!
