The tower, known as the "solar-wind tower," will reach a height of 0.8 kilometers and will generate electricity equivalent to that of the Hoover Dam. By spraying water from the top of the tower, the air becomes heavier and sinks, which will promote the rotation of 120 giant turbines at the bottom of the tower. At its peak, this tower generates nearly 1,250 megawatts of power, roughly equivalent to the output of 100,000 acres of wind turbines.

But according to the company, the main advantage of this system is that it can work continuously day and night, and does not depend on the specific climate. Downward ventilation technology is not new, but the company claims that having a revolutionary new patent can make it more efficient.

The biggest problem in the past was the size and cost of the tower. Now they have obtained permission and started the project's fund raising and operation in St. Louis. One of the possible obstacles to this project is the cost. It is estimated that it will cost about 1.5 billion U.S. dollars. However, Solar Wind has obtained initial funding support from the national standard financial department.
