Stamping mould terminology

Blanking Blanking is a stamping process that uses a die to separate part of a material or process piece from another piece of material, work piece, or waste. Punching is a general term for the separation process such as cutting, blanking, punching, punching, punching, cutting, chiseling, trimming, cutting, cutting, and refurbishing.

Cut-and-cut is a stamping process that partially separates the material along the open profile rather than completely. The material that is cut apart and separated is located or substantially in the plane where it was separated.

Trimming Trimming is a stamping process that uses the edge of a punching die to shape a forming process part to make it have a certain diameter, a certain height, or a certain shape.

Cutting the tongue is a stamping process that places the material partially but not completely along the open contour. The partially separated material has a certain position required by the workpiece and is no longer located on the plane before the separation. Cutoff Cutoff is a stamping process that separates material along an open contour. The material being separated becomes a workpiece or a process piece.

Flaring flaring is a stamping process in which the hollow member or tube member expands outward.

Punching Punching is a stamping process that separates waste material from a material or process element along a closed contour, obtaining the desired hole in the material or process element.

Blanking is a stamping process that separates the waste material from the material or work-pieces along the open profile. The open profile forms a notch whose depth does not exceed the width.

The grooving grooving is a stamping process that separates the waste material from the material or process element along the open profile. The open profile is in the form of a groove whose depth exceeds the width.

Punching Center Hole Punching center hole is a stamping process to form a shallow concave center hole on the surface of the working piece, and the back material does not have a corresponding protrusion.

Precision punching is a kind of smooth punching. It uses the fine punching die with a toothed press board to make the entire section of the punching part completely or substantially clean.

The continuous die continuous die is a die having two or more stations, and the material is fed one by one to the press stroke to gradually form the die.

The single-step mold single-step mold is a punch that only completes one process in one stroke of the press.

Combinatorial die combination die is a general-purpose and adjustable die set that gradually forms all kinds of punching parts according to geometric elements (straight line, angle, arc, hole). The contour profile of a planar punching part generally requires several pairs of combination punches to be punched in stages.

Press convex convex is a kind of stamping process that uses a punch to squeeze into a side of a process component, forcing the material to flow into the opposite pit to form a convex.

Embossing embossing is a stamping process that forces the local extrusion material to form a dimple pattern, pattern, letter or symbol on the surface of the process piece. The back surface of the embossed surface does not have dimples corresponding to dimples.
