China's Largest Construction Machinery Manufacturer Sany Heavy Industry Enters Japanese Market

According to the Japan Economic News, Sany Heavy Industry, the largest construction machinery manufacturer in China, has recently received orders from Japan Construction Machinery Leasing Co. to supply 5-10 medium-sized hydraulic shovels. This marks the official entry of Sany Heavy Industries into the Japanese shovel market.

In order to enter the Japanese market, Sany Heavy Industries established the Sany Japan Company in Japan three years ago to be responsible for the sales and service of products in Japan. During the Great East Japan Earthquake, the 32-meter pump truck of Sany Heavy Industry quickly swept the Fukushima nuclear power plant to win the trust of the Japanese market for Sany's products. In terms of the versatile 20-ton hydraulic shovel, SANY products are 2-3% cheaper than similar products in Japan. According to Chen Jian, president of the Sanyi Company in Japan, compared with Japanese products, although there are still gaps in the details of the welding and finishing of SANY products, they are not inferior in terms of performance and fuel economy. Japan Media predicts that Sany Heavy will continue to expand sales in Japan in the future with low prices as its weapon, becoming a strong competitor for Japanese construction machinery manufacturing companies such as Komatsu and Hitachi Construction Machinery.

It is reported that the market share of Sany Heavy Machinery in the Chinese hydraulic shovel market is increasing rapidly. The total sales from January to July are 14,528, which has exceeded the sales of last year, and it is currently ranked first in Komatsu. The company differs by only 2,000 vehicles. Sales throughout the year are expected to exceed Komatsu's.
