2) High carbon ferromanganese, medium carbon ferromanganese

In 2007, due to the continuous high price of imported manganese ore, the domestic manganese alloy market has been climbing from March, coupled with the implementation of differential electricity prices, the persistence of the southern dry season, and the hype of artificially reluctant sales, as shown in Figure 8. Manganese prices once hit a record high of 8,650 yuan / ton in 2007, while Figure 9 shows that the highest manganese manganese is up to 13,450 yuan / ton. After entering December, especially the market rumors that ferroalloy export tariff adjustments, until confirmed, so that domestic manganese alloy prices continue to maintain the upward trend. For example, at the end of December, the mainstream price of domestic silicon-manganese alloy market was once high, the price of high manganese market (Mn65) was 10,000-12700 yuan/ton, and the price of medium manganese was 17000 yuan/ton. From January 1, 2008, the provisional tariff rate for export tariffs on alloys such as ferromanganese will be implemented at the export tariff rate, and ferromanganese will be raised to 20%. The policy orientation of this tariff adjustment is to control excessive exports, which will affect the operation of the domestic market. Therefore, we predict that the prices of high manganese and low manganese will rise steadily in the second half of 2008, and it is unlikely to decline during the year.
