The two active ingredients are fungicide pyrofenone from Japan Ishihara Sangyo Co., Ltd. (ISK) and sedaxane from Syngenta. Seven of the eight active ingredients planned for registration in fiscal 2012 were fungicides.
OPP has re-arranged the review plan for five active ingredients in May. Four of them were advanced from the second and third quarters to the first quarter, and one from the third quarter to the second quarter.
In fiscal 2010, the EPA approved five new active ingredients, while in fiscal 2009, only one was approved. US Environmental Protection Agency develops new active ingredient registration plan
The US Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Pesticides Program (OPP) has developed another two new active ingredient registration plans for the fiscal year 2012 (as of September 30). With the original plan, the new plan registered a total of eight active ingredients.
